? Signing the Au Pair Contract
Before an au pair begins their stay with a host family, it is mandatory that both parties – the au pair and the host family – sign a written contract.
This contract ensures that the rights and responsibilities of both sides are clearly defined, avoiding misunderstandings.
It is essential that both the host family and the au pair read and understand the contents of the contract thoroughly. This is the only way to ensure a trustworthy and legally secure arrangement.

? Preparations for the Au Pair Stay
If the au pair needs a visa, the required documents are prepared by our agency, signed by the host family, and then sent via DHL Express to the au pair for submission with the visa application.
The au pair must first register their primary residence with the local registration office.
Then, they can apply for a residence permit at the appropriate immigration authority, which depends on their place of residence (either the city administration or the district office).
? Requirements for Host Families

The host family must speak German as their native language.

At least one adult family member must hold German citizenship, or the family must be from a German-speaking country or region.

Non-German families may be approved in exceptional cases if German is the main language spoken in the household.
